Secure Computing Corp., the leading enterprise gateway security provider, has announced the release of its SafeWord 2008, a new version of the company’s award-winning two-factor authentication solution that protects access to critical information assets and applications through Citrix applications, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Web applications and Outlook Web Access.

The bundled authentication solution is designed for the latest 64-bit Windows environments, including Vista and Windows 2008 Server, with seamless integration to Microsoft Active Directory.

“The Middle East region’s rapidly developing information and communications technology infrastructure necessitates thorough protection against network security threats, which have plagued most of the world’s major economies. The latest version of our two-factor authentication package can help Middle Eastern enterprises establish unbreachable systems that are ready to respond to both known and future threats,” said Nimer Ghazal, Regional sales Manager, Secure Computing.

SafeWord 2008 is easy to install and use, thus lowering the cost of implementing and deploying token-based two-factor authentication. It provides a positive proof of identity before enabling access to an ever-increasingly available network.

SafeWord 2008 features the Enterprise Solution Pack, an add-on module that includes the SecureWire Access Gateway, a zero-footprint SSL VPN that enables companies to make applications, data, and network connectivity available to employees, contractors, business partners, and customers. The Enterprise Solution Pack also allows users to implement MobilePass to turn their mobile devices into a two-factor authenticator, while providing other applications that improve productivity, security, and compliance.
