eDocuMAN launches PDF Archiver for storage solutions

eDocuMAN, the Dubai-based electronic archiving solutions provider, has launched PDF Archiver, an e-paper enterprise solution with powerful imaging tools that will assist the organisation with electronic archiving of documents as ISO compliant  PDF/A files.

PDF Archiver is a desktop scanning application that enables users to scan, index and release litigation-ready images to corporate servers in hierarchically managed folders as PDF/A files. Adobe Systems ISO complaint PDF/A is a subset of PDF, which is already widely accepted for the delivery of final-format documents.

The newly invented PDF Archiver mainly addresses the electronic archiving needs of banks, insurance companies, oil companies and engineering offices. Through PDF Archiver, users may search e-records on the server with the QuickFinder LAN application and view the images using a free Adobe Reader. Daily scan, index and release reports are also generated regularly to help enforce corporate policy for physical filing and auditing.

The new solution can help organisations to audit the physical filing system and enable creation of e-records for rapid retrieval. The PDF Archiver indexing is fully compatible with PDF/A ‘metadata standards’ and provides digital signatures for litigation purposes. It comprises of a TWAIN compatible scanning sub – system that can work with all kinds of document scanners at its full speed. Batch scanning is an in – built functionality to recognize blank pages and patch codes, de-skew, crop, merge multiple files, split documents and pages and prepare documents for indexing.
