Cyprus police foil Internet theft

Police in Limassol have arrested a man and a woman in connection with internet theft. According to investigators, the foreign woman had gone to a local bank and opened an account without depositing any money. A few days later, bank officials noticed that around CYP 2,000 had been placed into the account. It was later discovered that amounts had gone missing from various accounts of the same bank. Foul play was suspected and after police intervened, it emerged that the transactions were made from the accounts into the account of the foreign woman.
