Logitech launched its flagship brand QuickCam Ultra Vision webcam at the Dubai technology show Gitex 2006, as well as other peripherals, such as the MX and VX Revolution Mice, Harmony 1000 and Wireless DJ Music System.

The webcam delivers a true-to-life video calling experience by delivering twice the image clarity offered by typical webcams. It combines an extra-large, precision-engineered glass lens with a low f-stop setting, increasing the amount of light entering the webcam and precisely focusing that light to create sharp, vivid images. It also features a premium 1.3 megapixel sensor and supports the high-definition (HD) video format, allowing people to create video clips and watch them in a wide-screen format.

The MX Revolution cordless laser mouse and the VX Revolution cordless laser mouse for notebooks feature hyper-fast scrolling with a revolutionary alloy wheel – the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel – that spins freely for up to seven seconds, spanning hundreds of pages with a single flick of the finger and setting a new benchmark in scrolling efficiency. Computer navigation is also enhanced with an innovative One-Touch Search feature that allows people to select a word or phrase on a web page or in a document and, with a single click, view Internet search results on that subject

The Harmony 1000 universal remote control is a state-of-the-art product which has a touch-sensitive screen that makes the one-touch activity controls even easier by displaying the important controls when they are relevant. Using radio frequency (RF) technology, the Harmony 1000 remote can also control multi-room entertainment systems and high-end components hidden behind closed doors, when used in combination with the optional Harmony Wireless Extender. Its brushed-chrome and piano-black finish makes it an aesthetic complement to today’s most sophisticated living rooms.

The Logitech Wireless DJ Music System enables people to stream digital music from their PC to any stereo in their home and control it all from the palm of their hand. The three-piece system quickly connects the PC to a home-entertainment centre or speaker system using Logitech’s Music Anywhere wireless technology, which combines plug-and-play simplicity with the clarity of digital audio. The system plays any PC audio format, including MP3, iTunes (AAC), WMA, Internet radio, and podcasts. The Wireless DJ remote also includes an active playlist feature, called the DJ List, which allows people to add songs or albums to the queue without stopping the music.
