Hellenic Bank receives CYP 25 mln bids for bonds

Hellenic Bank Pcl (HB) announced that registration lists of the issue of Series B Bonds 2016 have closed on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 and the Company has received applications for CYP 25 mln bonds.
It is reminded that pursuant to a decision of the Board of Directors dated March 29, 2006, the total bonds 2016 that will be issued in one to four different series that will be announced by the Bank before their issue, stands at CYP 75 mln. Series A has been issued on July 1, 2006 and amounted to CYP 38 mln.
The proceeds of the issue of the total bonds 2016 will be used for the strengthening of the Bank’s capital base and profitability.The Bank has already secured the approval by the competent authorities for the listing of bonds 2016 to the CSE.The bonds that will result from the applications will be issued on November 22, 2006 and the allocation letters will be posted to the beneficiaries on November 29, 2006.
