The price of pasteurised milk increased by two cent per litre to reach

57 cent per litre, the first increase since the liberalisation of the milk sector. The price increase is attributed primarily to the increase in energy costs.

Lanitis Brothers (LB) increased its prices at the end of June, whilst Christis Dairies (CDL) incorporated the two cent price increase as of July 1. Charalambides Dairies is expected to follow soon.
