Europe’s largest cleantech idea competition in Greece and Cyprus
Chrysalis LEAP, with the sponsorship and collaboration of ΕΥ Cyprus, announces the launch of CleanLaunchpad, Europe’s largest cleantech idea competition, in Greece and Cyprus. The pan-European competition is organized by Climate-KIC, EU’s main climate innovation initiative. Participating countries include Hungary, Germany, Spain, UK, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Chrysalis Leap will be accepting applications from Greece and Cyprus by August 23rd. After that, 10 shortlisted ideas will participate in a bootcamp held in Cyprus on September 13th – 14th which will include mentoring, classes from experienced professionals, networking and preparation for the national final that will take place on October 17th. At the national final, teams will pitch their ideas to a jury that will award a cash prize to the top three and the ability to compete in the pan-European final which will take place on October 29th – 31st in Valencia in Spain. The overall winner of CleanLaunchpad will receive 10,000EUR. Second and third prize winners will receive 5,000EUR and 2,500EUR respectively. Apart from cash prizes, the three first winners will be granted entry to the coveted Climate-KIC acceleration programme, an 18-month real-life business school that will allow them to develop and commercialize their idea making use of up to 95,000EUR each in seed capital.
