Petroleum sales up 1.8% in Jan-Oct

Total sales of petroleum products recorded a decrease of 5.2% compared with the previous month in October 2010.
The Statistical Service noted a “considerable decrease” in the sales of Heavy Fuel Oil, Unleaded Motor Gasoline and Gasoil for Marine use, while an increase was recorded in the sales of Asphalt and Gasoil.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded a decrease of 16.5% compared with the previous month.
During the period January – October 2010 total sales of petroleum products recorded a decrease of 1.8% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
