Cyprus industrial turnover up 8.9% in August

The industrial turnover index for August 2010 rose by a healthy 8.9% compared with August 2009, according to the latest figures from the Statistical Service.
For the subsector of manufacturing, the index for August 2010 recorded a decrease of 0.1% compared with August 2009.
For the period January-August 2010, the industrial turnover index recorded an increase of 2.9% compared with the same period of the previous year.
In the same period, total industrial production fell by 0.7%.
