Decline in Cyprus motor regs moderates

The decline in motor vehicle registrations moderated in October, according to Sapienta Economics calculations, with the number of vehicles registered falling over the year earlier by 0.5%, compared with a drop of 8.6% in September.
For the period January – October 2010, total registrations decreased by 13.8% to 37,500 from 43,520 in January – October 2009.
Private saloon cars decreased to by 15.4% in the same period to 26,513 from 31,337 in January – October 2009.
In 2009 total registrations fell by 25.9%.
