Cyprus to receive Euro funding for renewable energy projects

The European Commission approved today the funding of 450 projects from the Cohesion Fund for the production of energy from renewable energy sources for the period 2007-2013.
The amount approved for Cyprus totals 5.90 million euro.
The EU will grant a total of 9 billion euro for the 450 EU-wide projects, from which 4.8 billion will be given for the development of renewable energy and the remaining 4.2 billion will fund energy efficiency projects.
