TRAVEL: Cyprus Airways launches ticket sales for Greek islands

Larnaca-based Cyprus Airways has launched ticket sales for flights to the Greek islands of Crete, Rhodes and Skiathos for the summer season.


Flights to Heraklion in Crete will start on 20 April 2019, twice a week. Cyprus Airways will be flying to Rhodes, the island of butterflies, every Tuesday and Friday starting 5 July. Flights to Skiathos, the green island of Sporades, will start on 1 July, every Monday and Thursday.

“We are excited to add to our network Heraklion, Rhodes and Skiathos, ideal for family vacations, for couples and friends who wish to enjoy the sea, the culture and the nightlife that each island offers,” Natalia Popova, Chief Commercial Officer of Cyprus Airways.

“We believe that all three islands will be popular summer destinations for the Cypriots,” she added.

Cyprus Airways offers two categories of fares, Basic and Flex. The Flex offers additional services, such as 23kg baggage allowance, 10kg cabin bag, seat selection, giving customers the option to customize their travel experience.

The return ticket fares from Larnaca to Heraklion start from €91, to Rhodes from €94 and to Skiathos from €99, including all taxes and surcharges.

In July 2016, Charlie Airlines Ltd, a Cyprus registered company, won a tender competition for the right to use the trademark Cyprus Airways for a decade. The company launched flights in June 2017.

Cyprus Airways operates flights to Europe, Russia and Middle East. All Cyprus Airways flights operate on modern Airbus A319 aircraft with a capacity of 144 Economy Class seats.
