Cyprus industrial production drops 4.3% in April

Industrial production in Cyprus maintained its downward trend, dropping by 4.3% over the year earlier in April.
The manufacturing index fell by 5.9% in the same period.
In the first four months of 2011 industrial production fell by 3.4% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, industrial turnover in March decreased by 5.8% compared with March 2010.
Manufacturing turnover in the same period fell by 10.9%.
For the whole period January-March 2011, the turnover index recorded an increase of 0.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
