The Greek parliament is likely to hold a vote of confidence in the new government being formed by Prime Minister George Papandreou on Tuesday night, a parliamentary aide said on Thursday. "The discussions on the vote of confidence will begin on Sunday evening and will be completed by midnight on Tuesday," the aide, who declined to be named, told Reuters.

The prime minister must appoint a new government and have it sworn in by the president before submitting a request for a vote of confidence, the aide added.
