Cyprus trade deficit in Jan-Oct 2009 decreases

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-October 2009 amounted to 4.698,9 mn Euro as compared to 6.256,6 mn Euro in January-October 2008, according to the Statistical Service's monthly report ''Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)'' for October 2009.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states) in January-October 2009 were 804.5 mn Euro compared to 986,1mn Euro in January-October 2008. The trade deficit was 3.894,4 mn Euro in January-October 2009 compared to 5.270,6 mn Euro in January-October 2008.

During October 2009 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) valued at 475.6 mn Euro.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in October 2009 amounted to 84.9 mn Euro. Exports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were 38.3 mn Euro, whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were 46,6mn Euro.
