Cypriot MP to attend World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association meeting

President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representative Averof Neofitou, leaves for Athens on Wednesday to take part in the 7th General Assembly of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association that will take place from 29 July until 2 August.

The issues which will be raised at the assembly concern practical ways to strengthen relations between members of the association. A discussion will also be held on the Cyprus issue and issues concerning overseas Greeks.

The Assembly will be addressed by President of the Hellenic Parliament Demetrios Sioufas and President of the Assembly Demetris Yiannaros.

The General Assembly of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association is made up of 224 members of parliament of Greek and Cypriot origin and members of foreign parliaments from 26 countries.
