Bank of Cyprus announces new organizational structure

The Bank of Cyprus Group announced a new organisational structure aimed at improving the organisation and achieving further synergies between the various units of the Group, especially taking into account the geographic expansion of the Group to the new markets (Russia, Romania and Ukraine) and in light of the forthcoming retirement of Antonis Jacouris, Group General Manager International Business & Operations.
The new organisations structure takes effect from September 1, 2009.
The top management team now includes Vassos Shiarly who was promoted to Senior Group Chief General Manager and joins CEO Andreas Eliades and Yiannis Kypri, Group Chief General Manager. Following the new organisational structure, Christis Hadjimitsis is Group General Manager Finance & Strategy while Nicolas Karydas is Group General Manager Risk Management & Markets.
The other General Managers are: Yiannis Seiradakis (Greece), Kyriacos Iacovides (New Markets), Leonidas Isodiou (information), Christakis Patsalides (Treasury & Private Banking),
Charis Pouangare (Retail), George Christodoulides (HR), Phivos Stasopoulos (Corporate), Athanasios Andreadakis (Risk), Constantinos Tsolakkis (Internal Audit) and Spyros Pantelias (Financial Services).
