Cyprus petrol sales down in Jan-Feb

Sales of petroleum products were down in the first two months of the year in a possible sign of alower economic activity.
During the period January – February 2009 the total sales of petroleum products recorded a decrease 12.6% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
The total sales of petroleum products in February 2009 recorded a decrease of 7.0% compared to the previous month.
A significant decrease was recorded in the sales of Gasoil and Gasoil for Agriculture Use, Liquefied Petroleum Gases and Unleaded Motor Gasoline. However, the provisions of Gasoil to ships showed an increase.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded a decrease by 2.1% compared to the previous month.
