Wall Street flat as drug stocks fall, offset banks

The Dow briefly turned negative and the S&P 500 pared gains to trade little changed on Monday as Merck & Co led a slide in the shares of pharmaceutical companies, offsetting gains by financial shares.
The Nasdaq was also little changed. A rebound in oil prices added to the market's cautious tone.
The Dow Jones industrial average inched up 3.42 points, or 0.03%, to 11,499.99. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index edged up 2.02 points, or 0.16%, to 1,262.70. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 3.70 points, or 0.16%, to 2,286.48.
