European index futures point to strong open

LONDON, July 17 (Reuters) – Index futures for top European stock benchmarks pointed to a strong open on Thursday, tracking gains in the United States and Asia.

DJ Euro Stoxx 50 futures were up 1 percent, while futures for Germany's DAX rose 0.9 percent and for France's CAC were up 0.7 percent.
