Intersport to expand Cyprus stores to 3-5

Intersport, a member of the Fourlis Group is planning the expansion of stores reaching 50-60 in Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Bulgaria. The Group plans to open 3-5 stores in Cyprus from 1 currently in operation.

The expansion drive is in line with the expansion strategy already communicated by the Fourlis group, calling also for 50-60 stores by 2010.

More specifically, the  expansion plan of Intersport includes 30 stores in Greece from 24 stores now,  3-5 stores in Cyprus from 1 store, 5-10 store in Bulgaria from 1 store now and 15 stores in Romania from 6 stores currently. According to management estimates, sales for Intersport are expected to exceed EUR100 mln by 2010.
