Industrial turnover up 8.8% in 2007

The industrial turnover index (comprising mining and quarrying, manufacturing, electricity, gas and water supply) reached 152.6 (base 2000=100) in December 2007, recording an increase of 14.3% compared with December 2006.

For manufacturing, the index for December 2007 reached 150.1, recording an increase of 14.5% compared to December 2006

For the period January-December 2007 the index recorded a rise of 8.8% compared with the same period of the previous year.
