The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) will be organising a road show in Athens on November 20, while a CSE Board of Directors delegation will be holding meetings with the management of the Athens Stock Exchange and other Greek stock exchange notables, in the context of the continuing effort to further develop the market.
The CSE delegation, which will be in Athens from November 19 to 21, will hold meetings with CSE-registered remote members, and with organisations providing custodian services to inform them on the future plans and current developments.
The CSE delegation and the Athens Stock Exchange management will review the close cooperation of the two stock exchanges, also covering the common platform, with special emphasis on new developments affecting the markets as a result of the implementation of new European directives.
According to the CSE, a special examination and certification of interested officials of the Greek businesses providing financial services (EPEY) will be organized by the Cypriot Stock Exchange, so that the successful candidates can be certified as stockbroker’s representatives or as stockbroker’s representative’s assistants or as clearing officers at the CSE.
Furthermore, the CSE will discuss with the Athens Stock Exchange the issue of the possible introduction of derivative products, concerning the Cypriot stock market.
The presentation of the CSE in Athens will take place on November 20, with the participation of nine CSE listed companies.
The CSE-listed companies that have registered for the event are the Bank of Cyprus, Marfin Popular Bank, Hellenic Bank, SFS Group, Tsokkos Hotels, Louis, Ocean Tankers Holdings, Logicom and Cyprus Trading Corporation.
