Cyprus tourism revenue is up by 6.6% in Jan-August

Revenue from tourism reached CYP 179.1 mln (EUR 306.0 mln) in August 2007, compared with CYP 155.0 mln (EUR 264.8 mln) in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 15.5%.

For the period January-August 2007 revenue from tourism is estimated at CYP 743.1 mln (EUR 1,269.6 mln), compared with CYP 697.2 mln (EUR 1,191.2 mln) in the corresponding period of 2006, recording an increase of 6.6%.
