Cyprus construction prices up 0.18% m/m in September

The price index of construction materials for September 2007 reached 140.76 (base 2000 = 100.00), recording an increase of 0.18% over the previous month according to the Statistical Service Cystat.

For the period January-September 2007, the index recorded an increase of 5.15% over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The strongest rise in this nine-month period was recorded by wood, stone and quarrying materials, up by 6.4% year on year. The second strongest rise was recorded by both industrial products and “other products”, both up by 5.9%.

Chemical products “and the like” rose by 2.9%, while petroleum products actually fell by 1.9%.
