Cyprus trade deficit reaches 2.8 bln euro

The trade balance deficit in Cyprus reached in January-July this year 2.8 billion euro, according to Eurostat. According to Eurostat, the total value of exports amounted to 600 million euro, a decrease of 5% compared to last year. There was an increase in total imports of 7% , valued at 3.4 billion euro.
At the same time the trade balance deficit in Greece reached 22.5 billion euro. Greek exports showed a 6% increase reaching 10.1 billion euro. Imports have risen by 11% valued at 32.6 billion euro.
Imports to the EU from China increased by 22% and amounted to 126.1 billion euro. Imports from Russia dropped by 4% and reached 80.1 billion euro. Imports from the US increased by 3%, valued at 107.0 billion euro.
