Motorola, Inc. has recognized its ecosystem allies for their contributions in enriching the Moto Z8 product experience. A multimedia powerhouse, the Moto Z8 features crystal clear video capture and playback at 30 frames per second. The device also offers generous external memory support for media storage — from the optional 4GB cards available on the market today up to 32GB when larger capacity cards become available. Motorola coupled its own innovative design and technological expertise with industry-leading applications and solutions from Actimagine, CNN Mobile, DataViz, Podcast.com, ShoZu, weComm and Yahoo! to create the MOTO Z8, which recently hit store shelves.

Moto Z8 is the world’s first Kick Slider phone featuring a unique ergonomic ‘fit-to-face’ profile. The handset enables entertainment fans to access their mobile TV(1), video and music all on one device. Motorola’s ecosystem allies contributed to the development of many of the unique features of Moto Z8, including Actimagine — that develops and sells Mobiclip, a patented software video codec which has been optimized for mobile platforms; CNN Mobile — a pre-embedded URL in the Moto Z8’s internet browser that allows direct access to CNN’s ‘World News Now’, an hourly, two-minute video news summary, as well as the easy-to-navigate home page; DataViz — an industry leader in developing Microsoft Office compatibility and productivity solutions, such as Documents To Go document viewer application; Podcast.com – that enables consumers to download their favorite audio and video podcasts direct from the Internet automatically to their handset or PC; ShoZu — that provides mobile social media services that enable fast, easy exchange of multimedia content and web-based services on mobile phones; weComm — that develops the Sky Anytime on Mobile application for BSkyB; and, Yahoo! — an easy to navigate carousel of widgets that gives consumers access to a wide variety of Internet services.

“We believe Moto Z8 is the ideal multimedia mobile phone, enabling consumers to listen to music, download video, create blogs and store memories on the go,” said Mike Hickey, Senior Vice President, Multimedia, Motorola.
