Panda wins ‘Reviewer’s Choice’ from GCN magazine

The beta version of Panda Internet Security 2008 has received the ‘Reviewer’s Choice’ seal in a comparative review carried out by the US magazine Government Computer News (GCN).

“Panda Internet Security 2008 more than lived up to our expectations”, said the magazine. Panda’s security suite rated best in functionality, scan speed and ease-of-use.

The solution’s ease of use is one of the aspects highlighted by the magazine. “Installing the software was simple and easy”, explains the magazine, and adds: “It was the only program to find all 10 of the cookies we put on the test system”.

The wide range of features is another aspect praised by GCN: “In addition to antivirus, you also get anti-spam, anti-spyware, backup help and a program to optimize system performance”.

Panda has already launched the Release version of Panda Internet Security 2008 on the market. This new version offers superior detection and disinfection capacity as it has been based on a new security model, megadetection, allowing it to detect and disinfect over 1 mln threats.
