Roddick knocks out Baghdatis of Cyprus from Rogers Cup

World No. 3, Andy Roddick, knocked Cyprus tennis ace Marcos Baghdatis out of the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

The 25-year-old American star beat Baghdatis, ranked 19th in the world, in two sets (6-4, 6-2) and heads for the finals.

Earlier, Baghdatis had picked up a good pace having beaten Dutch unseeded qualifier Robin Haase with 2-1 (6-2, 3-6 and 6-1).
