Petrolina announced that it had increased diesel and heating fuel prices following the recent increase in international crude oil prices, with rival petrol companies expected to follow suit soon.
Diesel has increased by 0.4 cents per litre to 53.9 cents per litre, while heating fuel has gone up by one cent to 48.7 cents.
Petrolina added, however, that prices for unleaded 95 petrol had gone down by 1.4 cents per litre at 56.9 cents per litre, as did unleaded 98 petrol, which decreased by 1.3 cents per litre to 58.9 cents
The Ministry of Labour said it was observing the current situation and that if deemed necessary they could intervene if prices continue to rise.
