Construction materials prices up 4.4% in Q1

The price index of construction materials for March 2007 reached 136.14 units (base year 2000 = 100.00), recording an increase of 0.77% over the previous month, according to the Statistical Service.

For the period January-March 2007, the index recorded an increase of 4.44% over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Construction materials prices rose by 5% in 2006.
