Finnish Chief of Defence Forces to visit Cyprus

Admiral Juhani Kaskeala, Commander-in-Chief of the Finnish Defence Forces, will pay an official visit to Cyprus from 6 to 8 March, at the invitation of National Guard Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Constantinos Bisbikas.
During his visit, Admiral Kaskeala will be received by the President of the Republic and the House of Representatives President, and will meet with the Minister of Defence and the Ambassador of Finland to Cyprus.
The Finnish Commander-in-Chief will hold talks with Lieutenant General Bisbikas on issues of common interest and will be briefed on the mission and task of the National Guard.
He will also lay a wreath at the Makedonitissa Tomb in Nicosia, where army officers and soldiers killed during the 1974 Turkish invasion are buried.
