Laiki staff to get EUR 5 mln bonus

Laiki Bank announced a Board decision to give a EUR 2000 cash bonus to all staff of the Group for a cost of EUR 5 mln as part of the effort to increase productivity and reward good performance. The bonus will be given in local currency between 11-15 December 2006.

A special committee has also been formed to recommend binding methods according to which staff bonuses will be given in future. The final decision will be taken by February 2007.

In another new development, the president of the Bank Union ETYK Loizos Hadjiloizou has decided to accept an invitation by the Laiki Board to become a member of the Board.

The union has also appointed a representative to a special committee in charge of promotions.
