Stavros Zenios re-elected Rector of Cyprus University

Stavros Zenios was re-elected Rector of the University of Cyprus for the next four years during today’s elections for a new leadership at the University of Cyprus.
Zenios received 157 votes and his opponent, Elpida Keravnou, 148 in the second counting of votes.
Speaking to CNA, Zenios said that the University has proven its democratic procedures and that his re-election confirms that the institution is following the correct course in emerging as a centre of academic excellence.
He also called for the support of the state and the society in achieving this purpose.
