CyTA fined CYP 25.000

The Competition Commission has imposed a CYP 25.000 fine on CyTA for breach of its Article 25 of the 207/89 Law for refusing to cooperate with its investigators during a raid of the company’s offices.

Competition Commission investigators had attempted to carry out an investigation of CyTA on February 22 and 23 regarding its deal with LTV but were refused access to the personal email files of the Managing Director of CyTA, Nicos Timotheou.

The Commission said that it has also imposed a CYP 5.000 daily fine for every day that CyTA refused to cooperate with it and allow access to its investigators.
