Cyprus Airways is seventh among the 27 best airlines of Europe in the important sectors of flights departing on time and the smooth flow of luggage and passengers.

According to the results of the second quarter of 2005, as they have been announced by the Association of European Airlines (AEA), members of which are the largest airlines of Europe, Cyprus Airways is among the first companies in sticking to their flights timetable.

In the period from April to June 2005, Cyprus Airways made 552 flights and the percentage of delays was very low, with 78% of flights departing on time. This performance compares very favourably with and is better than many European airlines with a long tradition in providing high-level services.

In the sector of luggage and passenger flow, including avoiding late delivery and losses, Cyprus Airways is among the best in Europe, according to AEA. The national carrier is third on this table, since during the period under consideration some half a million passengers flew with Cyprus Airways and the percentage of anomalies in the luggage flow was a mere 6.8% per thousand passengers.
