Dell aims for $80 bln revenue in 3 to 4 years

Austin, Texas (dpa) – U.S. computer maker Dell Inc. plans to increase its annual revenues from USD 49 bln to 80 biln “within three to four years”, Dell chief Kevin Rollins announced.

Rollins also announced revenues of USD 13.4 bln in the first quarter of the current business year, a 16% increase on the same period last year.

Profit for the quarter is expected to rise from 32 to 37 cents per share.

Dell also plans to to buy back USD 2 bln in shares in the current quarter, or double the amount it had originally planned.
