Turkish Cypriot coalition to be announced today

Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat will announce the new coalition line-up today, probably presenting a coalition of his own Republicn Turkish Party (CTP) which has 24 seats, and Serdar Dentkash’s Democrat Party (DP), which has 6 seats.

“We will submit the cabinet list to the president Monday afternoon,” Serdar Denktash told reporters on Sunday.

One the coalition is finalised, Talat is expected to announce his candidacy for the presidency elections on April 17, when veteran leader Rauf Denktash will step down.
