Grapheast, a leading graphics solutions provider and software distributor, is set to launch the first Arabic-enabled version of the industry-leading database software, FileMaker Pro 8.5, at the GITEX 2007 show. The leading distributor expects to gain tremendous response for its latest offering as well as the array of cutting-edge solutions that will be showcased at the exhibition held at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

The Arabic version of FileMaker Pro 8.5, which follows the collaboration between FileMaker, Inc. and WinSoft, will enable Arabic users to manage people, projects, images, assets and a range of data using their native language. The database tool allows Arabic data entry, display and printing as well as search/find sort functions in the Arabic language and provides Arabic, English and French templates.  Users can also easily switch from English orientation (left-to-right) to the Arabic layout (right-to-left) with a click of a button.

“FileMaker Pro has made a huge impact on boosting the productivity and efficiency of individuals and workgroups in both private companies and the public sector all over the globe. Local and international companies regardless of size compete in an increasing global arena and need tools that enable them to communicate in both English and Arabic,” said John Boutros, General Manager, Grapheast.

The new database tool, which is provided by FileMaker, Inc., a subsidiary of Apple, Inc., belongs to a lineup of products that offer unrivalled scalability and mobility to data management including applications that automate basic business tasks and allow users to create and share solutions from PC or Mac machines to the web. An enterprise can utilize FileMaker Pro to serve up to 5 users and later on add FileMaker Server products to provide access to hundreds of simultaneous users without modification or complications. FileMaker databases can be further uploaded to an existing website using FileMaker Server to allow vendors, suppliers and remote workers to securely access information, whilst FileMaker Mobile supports Palm OS and Pocket PC handheld users.

“As a business organization grows, it can integrate other award-winning FileMaker products to support FileMaker Pro and meet their data management needs. These aggressively-priced solutions help an enterprise accelerate its processes and ensure overall quality and efficiency at minimum operating costs,” concluded Boutros.

Grapheast has maintained its operations in the Middle East for ten years and was recently appointed by Pantone, Inc., the world–renowned authority on color and provider of color systems, as a master distributor. The company has built an extensive network of offices, sub-distributors and over 4,000 resellers across the region, enabling the distributor to maximize the penetration of its global partners including FileMaker, Pantone, Adobe, Corel Draw and Oris among others.
