Social insurance payments in Cyprus now online

Thousands of employers and the self-employed will now be able to pay their social security contributions online. It is hoped that this will save both time and money for people, as well as alleviating the workload of social insurance officers.
The move is part of a drive to streamline the social insurance payments system and cut down on red tape.
The new Direct Banking system for insurance payments started operations from Monday, December 11. However, delayed payments must still be made by visiting the Social Insurance offices.

Information on the new payment system is available at the Citizens Help Centre and the following banks: Bank of Cyprus, Alpha Bank, Popular Bank, Hellenic Bank, and the Central Cooperative Bank.
