— Bank remains open daily until 4pm

Société Générale inaugurated its brand new Main Nicosia Branch last Wednesday at impressive new premises on Digeni Akrita Ave. designed by Vassilis Hiotis.

The event was attended by leading business people, politicians and government officials, including French Ambassador Hadelin de la Tour Du Pin and Nicosia Mayor Michalakis Zambelas.

The main branch will be the base for the operations of the International Desk and the Trade Finance Services Department while also operating as the main branch for the retail banking functions of the bank in Nicosia.

The new branch brings the total number of retail branches to six, in addition to the head office opposite the Central Bank in Ayia Paraskevi.

“Our main objective is to remain a positive and healthy actor by increasing smoothly our market share and by finding the means to adapt to the new EU regulation,” said Christophe Coillet-Matillon, Deputy General Manager of SGC.

Société Générale, which has been present in Cyprus since 1985, added retail banking to its corporate and private banking services in 2003.

It aims for a gradual increase in market share, which should be helped by the fact that unlike other banks it operates until 4pm for customers.

During the ceremony, Costas Theodora Tsierkezou of Limassol, winner of SGC’s SOGEHOME promotional campaign, was presented with a voucher worth CYP 2,000 for electrical appliances from the Electroline stores.
