Laiki rights set for May 3 debut

The CSE Council announced that it has accepted the listing of 51,056,624 nil-paid rights of the Cyprus Popular Bank Public Company Ltd, pursuant to Article 58(I) of the CSE Law.

The nil-paid rights were allocated in the ratio of 1 right for every 6 existing shares of nominal value 50 cents. Each right exercised will be converted into a fully paid share of nominal value CYP 0.50. The exercise price has been set at CYP 1.20.

Trading will commence on May 3, 2006 and will end on May 23, 2006 (both dates inclusive). The CSE will undertake the observance of the above Register in the Central Depository.

Investors who do not have a trading account and wish to proceed to transactions may submit their applications for the opening of a trading account from Tuesday, April 11, 2006.

The trading code will be LAR and their ISIN Code CY0029870116. It is noted that the trading of the shares that will result from the exercise of rights will commence on July 7, 2006.
