ENTERTAINMENT: New job openings in Cyprus Casinos

Cyprus Casinos (C2) has announced 200 new job openings for staff recruitment at their satellite casinos in Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos, scheduled to operate later this year.


Macau's Melco Group, the company behind City of Dreams Mediterranean, Europe’s first integrated casino resort in Limassol, has announced the new vacancies on Thursday.

“Approximately 200 new positions will open up whilst currently, more than 600 people are employed by Melco at C2, with the vast majority of those being Cypriot citizens,”said a Melco statement.

At a later stage, new job openings will be announced regarding the satellite casino in Ayia Napa.

Victoria Michaelidou, VP Human Resources of Melco in Cyprus, said: “Melco’s philosophy is to ‘Hire on attitude, image and potential and to train on skills, we are looking for talents from the market to fill up the new positions.”

She said the available positions are mainly for dealers, slot attendants and cashiers.  

Cyprus Casinos C2, the first licensed casino in the Republic of Cyprus, has also launched its official website.

Available in English and Greek, it can be accessed at www.cypruscasinos.com.

Online visitors can explore the games available at C2 along with instructions on how to play and be educated on Melco’s Responsible Gaming policies as well as locate any job openings at C2.

The first Cyprus Casino opened earlier this year in Zakaki, Limassol comprising 33 Table Games and 242 Slot Machines, the Salon Prive VIP gaming area, the Columbia Bistro restaurant and two bars.  

The casino operates on a 24/7 basis and guests must be 21 years of age and above to enter. There is no fee to enter Cyprus Casinos.
