CyprusInno, a bicommunal digital platform connecting Cypriot entrepreneurs, start-ups and innovators, has reached the finals of the 2018 European Youth Award competition, a statement said.

The project called “entrepreneurship as a peace-building mechanism on divided Cyprus” has been entered in the sustainable economics category with five other countries in the 2018 Digital Solutions with Social Impact awards

The platform – among 54 finalists from 28 countries in nine categories – is led by its Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot co-founders Burak Berk Doluay and Steven W. Stavrou.

It is the only team from Cyprus represented in the finals.

The European Youth Award is a platform for the pan-European community of young change-makers using digital technologies to improve society.
