CSE & ASE sign trading platform deal

The Cyprus and Athens Stock Exchanges signed a broad based agreement towards the creation and operation of a common trading platform by the two exchanges, which is planned to go into effect from January 2006.

The deal was signed by the respective presidents of of the CSE and the ASE, Akis Kleanthous and Spyros Kapralos in the presence of the Greek Ambassador to Cyprus Demetris Rallis and other dignitaries.

The deal heralds the start of even closer relations between the two exchanges and based on the agreed timetable, the process of setting up the common platform intensifies.
