High-speed Barcelona-Paris trains from 15/12

A high-speed rail link (TGV) will connect Barcelona and Paris starting on December 15, Spain's minister for infrastructure, Ana Pastor.

The minister noted that the technical experts of the two administrations were in the process of completing the registration work for the line and that the first train was expected to be on the rails on December 15. ''It is a technical – not political – problem,'' she said.

''Everything is expected to be ready for December 15.'' The high-speed trains will cut travel time between Barcelona and Paris to 6 hours and 20 minutes. There will be two connections per day.
