Cyprus gross domestic product grew 0.6% in the third quarter on a quarterly basis, compared with a revised 0.5% in the second quarter, the island's statistics department said on Thursday.
Year on year, real GDP expanded by 1.8% from July until September compared with 0.5% in the second quarter.
Most sectors of the economy showed improvement, the statistics department said in a news release. Tourism, financial services and banking contributed to growth though construction remained negative.
Cyprus, the euro zone's second smallest economy, emerged from a recession in the first quarter of this year. The finance ministry expects full-year growth of between 0.6 and 0.8%. Revised forecasts of the island's Central Bank put growth at 0.7%.
