Rate of inflation in Cyprus reaches 1,6% in December 2009

The rate of inflation for December 2009 rose to 1,6%, compared to 1,0% in November 2009 and 1,8% in December 2008, according to the evolution of the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) for December 2009, announced by the Statistical Service.

For the period January-December 2009, the HICP recorded an increase of 0,2% compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
