SAP globally, as well as in Greece and Cyprus, recorded high growth rates, which reached double digits during the financial year 2008.
Specifically, SAP AG recorded revenue of EUR 8.46 bln from software sales and provision of related services, achieving a 16% rise comparing to the financial year of 2007, during which revenues reached EUR 7.43 bln. The significant rise of revenue led to an increase of operational profit by 18% in relation with the previous year.
“Overall 2008 was a good year for us, despite the difficult economic circumstances, since we recorded double-digit rise in revenue and accumulated additional market share in the core enterprise application sector”, said Henning Kagermann, CEO of SAP AG.
Also in Greece and Cyprus, SAP continued consistently its dynamic path achieving 27% increase in relation with the previous year (software and maintenance sales). SAP Hellas & Cyprus constitutes a credible consultant and provider of solutions which give added value and support the development of clients and partners. Among the factors contributing to SAP’s success is the two-fold increase of solutions especially offered to business users as well as the company’s commitment in providing high standard applications and client services.
Also, Alex Mouradian, Country Sales Manager of SAP Cyprus, was awarded for a second consecutive year by Claas Kuehnemann, Managing Director South East Europe & Middle East, with the ‘SAP Employee Award 2008 – Performance Excellence’ for the exceptional results of SAP Cyprus for 2008.
