Cyprus economy is robust and open to international trade

Cyprus has during the last years reached unprecedented levels of financial prosperity, Cyprus Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Antonis Paschalides said here today, adding that Cyprus can be proud of being famous as a reliable international business and maritime centre in the eastern part of the EU, serving as a hub for financial and other investments in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Addressing a conference of the Cyprus-Indian Business Association, Paschalides said that Cyprus economy is robust and open to international trade, while it is also a regional hub for business and professional high quality services for entrepreneurs all over the world.

“As an EU member state and member of the Eurozone, Cyprus has an unlimited access to the huge EU market, providing to foreign investors excellent opportunities of access to this increasingly developing market,” he added.

He said that businessmen from Cyprus and India must work together to find practical and tangible ways to promote bilateral economic cooperation for the benefit of both Cyprus and India.
